My name is Deirdre. I am the loving mother of three fantastic boys; one is grown and recently graduated college at 23, the next is 10, and our youngest is 4—he was adopted from foster care about a year ago.
I enjoy being active with my boys. They each participate in sports ranging from soccer to lacrosse to hockey. We spend as much time outdoors as possible. I thoroughly enjoy being their mother.
I do work from home part time for The MA Society of Prevention and Cruelty to Children. We work in collaboration with DCF to provide support for families pursuing adoption. The adoption process can be difficult at times. I feel grateful for what I have learned and am so happy to share with others who dare to take the plunge.
Our family does emergency foster care. That means DCF will call us when a child has been removed. We get to keep that child while they find a long-term foster home—normally up to five days. The children I have encountered are just so appreciative for a calm and peaceful home—
I am so excited to become A Signature Mom Blogger! I love sharing my experience and learning from new people.
Deirdre, you are beautiful! xo
