Ch-ch-ch-changes

By: Kris Berry

One of my all time favorite quotes always has been, “the only thing constant in life is change.”  It’s true. Change is happening all around us, all the time. People constantly grow and evolve. Sometimes change happens to us and sometime we create the change.

My little family is about to undergo a big change. Sadly, this change will take me away from the Signature Healthcare community.  For a while now, my husband and I have discussed taking a leap and moving away from Massachusetts.  We’ve dreamed about states to explore and where we might end up.  An opportunity has presented itself and we decided to take it.  So, we are moving out of the state at the end of the month.  This move has brought the stress of packing the house we have lived in for 8 years (although I am enjoying purging!), the challenge of keeping the house clean and organized during showings and open houses (with 3 kids and a dog), and finding new schools and doctors (and running clubs!) hours away. It will be sad to leave some wonderful friends we have made over the years, and we will surely miss them and our family here.

I am looking forward to all the changes that lie ahead of us. Adjusting to our new neighborhood and town will take some time, I’m sure. But this move brings new opportunities for all of us, both personally and professionally.

I have truly appreciated the opportunity to write for this blog.  It has been a wonderfully enriching experience for me.  I am hoping to write a post about moving with children once we get settled in the new house, and I will enjoy becoming a regular reader of the blog rather than just a contributor!  Thank you for allowing me and my children into your homes.  It has been an honor.

  1. I have moved a lot since I met my husband and I always have mixed feelings about the process. In the end the change is always good for us but it makes you see who your true friends are and your true strength.

  2. There are some changes we don’t expect and initially we can’t seem to accept it. But later on we found ourselves embracing that change. Thanks for sharing your inspiring story.

  3. How exciting! I am a very experience mover, lol. My best advice is once you get there, set up the kids rooms first. That way they will have their space while the rest of the setting up and unpacking is going on. Best of luck with everything! Let us know how it goes.
