It’s a new year, which brings new excitement and intention. I look back on 2017 with fondness, as our family had it pretty good. We worked steady and really didn’t want for much. Our children are healthy and seem to enjoy one another and our family as a whole. Life is busy but we somehow seem to grab the quiet moments at each opportunity and savor each one. As I recollect, it’s the laughter and the silliness that stand out. I can’t remember the specific arguments or the daily frustration that living together can create. I can’t remember whose room was messiest or who annoyed me most during the dinner rush. I do remember the hilarious stories shared at the table and the wonderful forts made throughout my house.
In 2018, I resolve to live in the moment. I resolve to let the small problems go and pay attention to the joy hidden in each moment. I promise myself to notice each member of my family and treat them as I do my company. I vow to give myself a break when I overreact and the opportunity to start new.
I am so incredibly thankful for my family and intend to show them that this year.
Happy New Year!
