While our lives seem to have turned upside down due to the Coronavirus, nothing seems to have changed with nature. We still got April showers, and we will most definitely see May flowers.
That is the thing with Nature: It does its own things. It follows its laws irrespective of human conditions.
However, it is not immune to human habits. We have seen a lot of posts on social media of how Mother Earth seems to be rejuvenating as human interruption in the form of toxic gases, water and noise pollution, reduced industrial and aviation activity, has decreased.
This is a timely reminder to us to be kinder to Earth. To be gentler.
Though not everyone has the power to bring about a radical change, we all can do our bit in terms of reducing unnecessary material consumption, recycling, and imparting these values to the younger generation. After all, they are the ones who will inherit what we leave behind. And I would rather leave behind a green earth, with blue skies, and flourishing flora and fauna. A beautiful buzzing Earth, the way it is meant to be!
Wouldn’t we all?
Here’s to May flowers!!
Amen
