Prioritizing Staff Wellness and Recognition

By Georgina Correia — Program Supervisor Greater Brockton Healthy Families

At Greater Brockton Healthy Families, we believe that taking care of our staff is just as important as taking care of the families we serve. During June, we made it a priority to recognize and celebrate the hard work and dedication of our team.

To show our appreciation, we organized two team-building activities designed to promote self-care and foster a sense of community among our staff. The first activity was a painting session where everyone had the opportunity to reflect and unwind. It was a perfect way for our team to take a break from their busy schedules and focus on their own well-being.

The second activity took us to Just Claying Around, a creative space where we could customize our own cups, jars, and other pottery items. This hands-on experience allowed our staff to express their creativity and bond over a shared activity. It was a fun and relaxing way to strengthen our team and remind everyone of the importance of self-care.

At Greater Brockton Healthy Families, we understand that team-building is an essential part of the work we do with our participants. By promoting self-care and fostering a supportive work environment, we set a positive example for the families we serve. We always encourage our participants to prioritize their own well-being because we know that taking care of oneself is crucial to being a great parent.

As we strive to be role models for our participants, we practice what we preach by incorporating self-care into our daily routines and team activities. Recognizing and supporting our staff not only boosts morale but also enhances the quality of care we provide to our families.

Thank you to our amazing team for their hard work and dedication. Together, we continue to build a supportive and nurturing community for both our staff and the families we serve.
