It’s that time of year, so I figured I would share my favorite apple crisp recipe with all you today. It’s the recipe that my mom used to make, so I’ve grown up on this recipe. I can’t imagine apple crisp any other way.
In a greased pan place 8-10 peeled & chopped apples!
Then in a small bowl mix 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar!
Sprinkle this mixture over the apples!!!
Topping:
1/3 C of softened butter (or margarine, but butter tastes better)
3/4 C of packed brown sugar
1/2 C of four
1/2 C of uncooked rolled oats
3/4 tsp of cinnamon
3/4 tsp of nutmeg
Mix topping together (warning, you will probably need to use your hands). Flatten the topping on top of the apples in the pan (and ya, you will probably need to use your hands for this, too). Cook at 350 for about 35-40 minutes or until it’s sizzling.
If you’re like me, you will probably double this recipe and then proceed to eat the whole thing yourself. Hope you like!
Makes me long to get to Honeypot Hill!
You can do a similar thing in a crockpot to awake to a yummy autumn breakfast!
